The Vertical City E+ designed by the Dominique Perrault Architecte is exhibited with the seven winning projects of the International Competition for the renovation of Montparnasse Tower.

In June 2016 l’EITMM (Ensemble Immobilier Tour Maine-Montparnasse) launched an International Competition for the renovation of the Montparnasse Tower, an emblematic building of the city. DPA Agency answers suggesting the Vertical City E+, a positive energy building. Convinced that this project takes part in the development of a sustainable city up to the world-class metropolis combining political view, imagination and savoir-faire. The proposition keeps the same fooprint but it goes beyond the claim increasing the surfaces and the highness,combining differents functions; it is necessary to develop an authentic vertical city, active 24h/24h. Dominique Perrault proposes a project that is strongly turned to the future demonstrating that it is possible to built resilient, efficient high-rise building that are integrated in to their surrounding. Programmatic mix, innovative technological devices, “breather skin” and the importance of green spaces allow to combine realism and ambition to offer comfort and well-being to future users and visitors.
