On December 2015, the French President François Hollande had given to Philippe Bélaval, at the head of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux (CMN), and to Dominique Perrault, architect and member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, a mission focused on the study and the future development of the "Ile de la Cité" for 2040. The latter resulted in 35 proposals approaching the urban, cultural, touristic and environmental stakes which the "Ile de la Cité" must take into account to become again the heart and soul of Paris.
The exhibiition "The heart of Paris - Ile de la Cité 2040" depicts this project and offers a new look on the potentialities and abilities for patrimonial sites to transform themselves. Visitors will be submerged via maps, screenings, in this global architectural, political and economic reflexion on the future of Paris.
