Special event on the construction site of the Villejuif Institut Gustave-Roussy metro station

February 1, 2020

The construction site of the Villejuif Institut Gustave-Roussy station of the Grand Paris Express celebrates the arrival of the tunnel boring machines during an exceptional evening on February 1st, 2020 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The worksite parties, entitled "KM" (symbolising the kilometres to be covered until the Grand Paris Express enters service) are both artistic and festive events on the Grand Paris Express worksites.

In Villejuif, the event entitled "KM8", co-organised by Société du Grand Paris and RATP, will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the successive passage of "Allison" and "Amandine" tunnel boring machines through the heart of the shaft. The immense 60m diameter cylinder of this emblematic station, one of the deepest of the Grand Paris Express network, will be highlighted by a performance that will combine lighting and pyrotechnics.

Program :
- Fireworks show designed by Groupe F
- Artistic lighting of the shaft crossed by the tunnel boring machines of the future lines 15 South and 14 South.
- Live music from Jaffna
- "Archaeology of the Future" exhibition
