Trilingual French/Korean/English Communication Officer in Seoul
In the framework of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021, the Seoul Biennale Division is looking for a Communication Officer who will act as a liaison agent between the different stakeholders (Seoul Metropolitan Government and its representatives, curatorial team, invited artists, and others) and will contribute to the general organization of the event, in close partnership with the General Director’s Bureau in Paris.
The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism (SBAU) was established in 2017 and has become one of the world’s main events to celebrate and reflect on the built environment by inviting a large panel of cities and by focusing on urbanism.
Since its beginning, the SBAU has been discussing current transversal topics that concern professionals and the general public alike. Its two first editions explored nine essential commons as a viable path towards a sustainable and just urbanism (“Imminent Commons”, directors Hyungmin Pai and Alejandro Zaera-Polo, 2017) and interrogated architecture’s political agency by reimagining new models of existence, social, practice, governance and research (“Collective City”, directors Jaeyong Lim and Francisco Sanin, 2019).
Its third edition, scheduled from September to November 2021, will pursue this global reflection on the future of architecture and urbanism in light of contemporary social and environmental issues, under the guidance of its General Director, French architect Dominique Perrault.
