DESCRIPTION
The project is a bar, but a moving bar, with variable thickness, which bends, expands, and contracts in order to make the best use of the triangular plot. This modeling of the structure makes it possible to form open angles that house the main entrance, which opens onto the adjoining square, and the parking lot entrance, located in an additional volume on which a landscaped garden is planted.
Four types of modules, of different widths, are used to cover the façade: fixed opaque, opening opaque, fixed glazed, and sloped glazed. The latter category, which is very common on the upper floors, becomes less frequent as one approaches the ground, leaving only a smooth surface on the ground floor, thus increasing the impression of transparency. This shaping work continues on the roof, where a metal mesh conceals the technical equipment and accentuates the profiling of the volume. The movements of the building, the reliefs created, and the reflections generated by the glass and metal of the façade give the new building a lively and informal character.
