DESCRIPTION
It blends in nicely with the historic facade thanks to the long gold opening that echoes the traditional style without copying it. The mesh protects the roof from the sun and the weight of snow, leaving the living areas open. The “bamboo” warp and weft mesh is irregular and natural, and made from a single strip. It blends in with the spirit of Tyrol, that “pot of geraniums hanging from the balcony of Austria,” according to the writer Sylvain Tesson. The mesh is fully visible: flexible to the environment and solid, supported by large struts, mechanical parts, and a spring that stretches it. Here, it is gathered to hold the snow cover. The details are always there, with fringed edges and the mesh punctuated by dots, like a mattress.
