The « Nouvelle Tour Montparnasse » project is an international competition launched in June 2016 by the 20 owners composing the EITMM. The competition aims at a complete refurbishment of the tower, with the transformation of the facades and of its urban integration. The construction costs are 300M€. The other selected offices are Architecture Studio, nAom (Franklin Azzi Architecture/Chartier Dalix/Hardel-Lebihan Architectes), Mad Architects, OMA, PLP Architecture, Studio gang.
A first step of Demain Montparnasse, the “new Montparnasse tower” is part of a large project including a housing and office complex; it aims at reviving this area of the left bank of Paris. The winner will be announced in spring 2017.
