The venue, which brings together the Museum of Photography and the Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts, draws its strength from its revelation from below, evoking a root network inspired by the topographies specific to archaeological excavations.

PROGRAM
The Lausanne Museum Complex brings together Photo Élysée (formerly the Cantonal Museum of Photography) and the Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts (Mudac). Its underground structure complements the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts (MCBA), newly built nearby to form a museum complex on a shared site.
