Around Villa Weil, a manifesto of radical modernity, projects are taking shape that are transforming the Domaine de Frapotel into a place of research and creation.
In 2020, Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault created the association for the conservation of the Domaine de Frapotel to enable as many people as possible to discover, through the eyes of contemporary creators, an important part of 20th-century architecture.

Built between 1966 and 1970, André Weil’s villa, designed by Jean Dubuisson, stands out for its clear layout and simple volumes. The house adapts to the topography and blends into the landscape. The proportions and attention to detail serve the immediate use and clear perception of the space. Largely open and bright, the villa is located on the edge of the Halatte forest in Pontpoint (Oise). Seen from the plain, its volumes stand out against the forest in silhouette. Located halfway up the slope, the house highlights the relief of the Oise valley.
A prolific and innovative architect during France’s post-war economic boom, Jean Dubuisson (1914-2011) revolutionized the design, use, and construction of housing by working tirelessly to create more modern homes. Winner of the Grand Prix de Rome in 1945, he set up his own studio in 1951. From then on, numerous commissions provided him with opportunities to experiment with his rational, geometric, and horizontal aesthetic. Jean Dubuisson built some 20,000 homes and created landmark works such as the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions in Paris.
