The Palais des Sports in Rouen, treated like a theater, is the subject of a clever staging: it presents itself, free, defined by a floor and a sky whose play of light and reflections are a constant source of life.
PROGRAM
The Sports Palace is conceived as a true urban planning project. Its interior topography, made up of stepped terraces, is reflected in the layout of the surrounding area, opening onto the city and providing access to a public esplanade. At the heart of the building are a large modular hall measuring 4,400 m² (capacity of 6,000 spectators), a secondary gymnasium measuring 1,700 m² (capacity of 1,010 spectators), a weight room, warm-up areas and changing rooms, offices, press rooms, and a private area.
