The Morland Administrative Center, located on the former Louviers Island, preserves the site’s historical memory while offering potential for reuse for residential and professional purposes.
PROGRAM
The Morland Administrative Center comprises 77 social housing units, 84 intermediate housing units, and 24 family housing units for first-time buyers, a nursery, a 200-room hotel with services open to the public, offices suitable for 600 users, and 3,300 m² of commercial space on the ground floor. This commercial program is based on shared creativity, with an incubator dedicated to the food industry and a micro-factory in the city center. The project is centered around 4,500 m² of green spaces, including a landscaped garden on the ground floor, hanging gardens on the 9th floor, and an urban vegetable garden on the 10th floor.

DESCRIPTION
The project, developed as part of the Reinventing Paris competition, transforms this iconic building into a multifunctional structure open to the neighborhood, promoting social diversity and a variety of uses 24/7. It combines housing, offices, shops, shared facilities, and public spaces, while incorporating innovations in greening, energy sharing, and the circular economy. Morland is thus becoming an urban laboratory and an architectural landmark, a real driver of local, tourist and economic attractiveness, where private and public spaces connect to strengthen “living together” in the city.
