Back to the launch of the book Ouvertement / Openly

Tuesday, November 30 was the launch of the book Ouvertement / Openly, the first book dedicated to the Domaine de Frapotel published by Editions Dilecta, at the Yvon Lambert bookshop.

THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE CONSERVATION OF THE DOMAINE DE FRAPOTEL

The association for the conservation of the Domaine de Frapotel, created by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prevost and Dominique Perrault, is part of a desire to share the work of the architect Jean Dubuisson, by allowing the greatest number of people to discover, through the eyes of contemporary creators, a significant part of the architecture of the second half of the 20th century. Around the Villa Weil, multiple projects are taking shape, making the estate a place of meetings, research and creation.

THE BOOK : First book dedicated to the Domaine de Frapotel

Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault invited the historian Frédéric Prot and the photographer Philippe Chancel to reveal, both in writing and images, this radical work by the architect Jean Dubuisson that he designed during the 1960s, as well as the commitment of his client André Weil to build a domain at Pontpoint.

"Openly" here is synonymous with "manifesto". These two words also summarize the purpose of the association for the conservation of the Domaine de Frapotel, created in 2020, which is interested in the modernity of the second half of the twentieth century, through architecture, design and landscape.

The book launch at the Yvon Lambert bookstore (Paris) took place on November, 30th.
